Asakusa Sushi in Burnaby

Very good sushi, cheap price for a lot of good food. The decor is OK, but food is very cheap. I come here often.

We don't go anywhere else for Japanese food! Why? Best tasting food/menu to choose from, great food presentation, big portions, fresh, reasonable price, great service. Highly recommended!

Decent sushi, reasonable price, good location (always found parking at the front) and good service. Update: oct 2016 they have changed the menu and all rolls are super big - no way you can comfortably eat it in one go, parts apart otherwise. They also put cucumber in all 3 rolls we tried :/

Cozy place with a warm welcoming customer service. A feeling of sincerity and caring is apparent in everything they do. Enjoy large sized sushi and fair prices, relaxed environment. Thank you.

The sushi is delicious and you get huge portions. And you never have to wait very long.

1) The door gets stuck after its opened, so it is always open when it is noisy and cold outside. 2) The rice in the sushi doesn't hold the shape of the sushi at all.3) The miso soup was good4) they put old fish skin into my roll, which made me to leave the roll. 5) lots of little flys around the food probably because kitchen is dirty.

Sushi not super fresh but overall big portions and one of those places you can come for that California roll fix.

The size of tuna and salmon sashimi is the half the size it used to be. Not impressed at all!!!

This is our go-to Friday night Sushi spot. Food comes fast and is huge proportions for the money. Recommend the Combo D or the Spicy Salmon Don.

one of ma favorite Japanese restaurant in Burnaby / Vancouver !!!It will be really great if they open a delivery services.We are working close to metrotown and I am sure my company would love to receive oftenly some great Japanese food for lunch or diner.For my part I living close by and I'm going there 1 or twice a week to Asakusa Sushi.

I went here about a year ago and the food was okay. My second visit to this place (about 3 months ago), was not so good. The sushi and sashimi we ordered tasted a bit old and the place smelled... Ya not so great. But our server was really nice so it wasn't a complete fail.

An absolute disgrace. Ordered $40+ of rolls, appetizers, and miso soup. The fish in our rolls was obviously not fresh, as it was slimy. Additionally our chicken teriyaki roll fell apart upon first touch. I'm currently writing this while my girlfriend is sick from the old fish. And upon asking for items to be stroked from the bill, they refused to acknowledge that they could ever be to blame. HANDS DOWN One the worst sushi experiences I've ever had. You're better off with a bento box.

Great price for its quality

Me andmy family have been enjoying the great food great service of Asakusa forover 6 years. The staff are always friendly and the food tasty. Best Salmon sashimi and BBQ squid in town.

I've been going to Asakusa for almost 2 years now, so I know all about its pros and cons. First of all - they have the most delicious rolls I have ever tried and the biggest ones, as well :) You need to get used to their size, but it's so much fun! I will totally recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a delicious food. However, If you are looking for a nice design or a good service - you better try something else. Service is unfortunately lacking and most waitresses are not smiling and sometimes you need to wait for their attention, BUT the food is really good. It's always fresh and delicious! So if you are looking for a place to eat and treat yourself with nice Japanese food - this is it!

Fresh, tasty and large portions. not the attention to detail of Nao Sushi closer to Highgate but well-priced, good selection and generous with the avocado. Great choice when Sushi Garden is packed (always!) as it's fast and friendly.

Excellent sushi! Everything I have had here was super tasty, fresh & the portion size is very good.The salmon nigiri and gyosa are two of my favorites. Very reasonable pricing for the lunch specials, sometimes hard to get a seat right at noon.

Best sushi in Vancouver in my opinion. Prices are great and portions are great too! Salmon sashimi there is just...mmmmm. Also love the Alaska Rolls

I love it here I go here like at least 2 or 3 times a MONTH . The thing is the "sushi chefs" are Vietnamese and I come really often and stuff my face with sushi I think they judge so I try the best to face my back to the chefs

Reliably fresh and delicious for over 8 years for me.Still come to this place one in a while, even though I moved do downtown.
